Energy excellence, social impact and the smile of the landlord: myth or reality in Brussels?

Our CEO, Lionel Van Rillaer, is sounding the alarm in his opinion piece published on lesoir.be : energetically renovating old Brussels buildings while keeping rents affordable is today economically impossible without public support.

A concrete example: the building at 168–174 Anderlecht Street. Inclusio invested there to improve energy efficiency. But despite these efforts, the EPC certificates still show an F rating, and the March 7, 2024 ordinance imposes drastic requirements and disproportionate fines.

Lionel proposes concrete solutions at all levels of government.
The message is clear: without strong and swift action, the Brussels housing crisis will only get worse.
