VANDER BRUGGEN (Anderlecht)

The non-profit organization SoHab is the developer of an innovative co-living model, COLISO² (social and supportive co-living). Within this framework, tenants actively participate in the design, implementation, and management of their living environment, promoting shared spaces and resources.

The courtyard, the heart of the collective project, has been designed as a place of social cohesion with respect for the environment: a simple space that encourages relaxation and can evolve according to future resident initiatives.

A wooden table made from reclaimed materials has been installed to encourage social interaction and conviviality, as well as garden chairs, also made from recycled materials, to promote moments of rest.

Raised vegetable beds, also made from reclaimed materials, have been installed to support biodiversity and raise awareness among the children of the residence about gardening.

For the implementation of this project, SoHab collaborated with the adapted work enterprise La Ferme Nos Pilifs, specialized in ecological gardening and carpentry.

This Brussels-based cooperative employs 145 people with disabilities, supported by around forty professionals, and is recognized for its expertise combining quality, social value, and sustainability.
