Inclusio acquired these two buildings (50 Rue Jean-Baptiste Desmeth and 43 Rue Alphonse Vanden Bossche in 1140 Evere) in September 2024 and has been leasing them to Samusocial ever since.
In November 2024, Samusocial relocated one of its emergency shelters for homeless people to these two buildings.
The 82 rooms, accommodating between two and eight people each, can provide shelter for up to 280 people.
Located in a residential neighbourhood just a stone’s throw from the municipal offices, this former nursing home offers a warm and safe environment for people facing an emergency situation. Residents benefit from a comprehensive range of services, including accommodation in rooms with private sanitary facilities, meals and holistic psycho-medical-social support. A garden is also available for outdoor activities.
A multidisciplinary team of staff works around the clock to welcome and support residents, with the aim of helping them make a sustainable transition out of homelessness.
